Attendance for the crusade was estimated at more than 85,000 people the first night. The next night, the crowd nearly doubled to 145,000. By the fourth night, more than 200,000 were in attendance.
He added, "We are surely in for a wild week!"
The crusade site itself was once the scene of death and destruction as a result of the region's ongoing civil war. Within a short distance of a mass grave containing countless unidentified corpses, hundreds of thousands of people have witnessed miraculous healings and experienced God's redemptive work through salvation.
Videos posted on Kolenda's blog, www.danielkolenda.com, and on YouTube, document some of the healings received.
"This has been a historic event that will leave an indelible mark on Ivory Coast," Kolenda wrote. "The entire capital city has been shaken. The news media is out in full force every night. Top government officials have taken notice and are coming for prayer. The church leadership has never seen anything like it before. I am sure that if the Lord tarries, the great-grandchildren of these people will still be talking about what Jesus did here this week."
