NDP Threatens Family Coalition Party with Legal Action for 'Hate Literature' Mail Drop

An MPP who sponsored what critics call the “bathroom bill” was irked by a mail drop in her riding last Saturday that questioned her leadership and called for a repeal of the bill.

NDP Member of Provincial Parliament Cheri DiNovo has demanded an apology from the Family Coalition Party of Ontario and has threatened them with legal action for what she called a “transphobic and hateful piece of literature”.

World Vision Readies National Response to Hurricane Sandy

With Hurricane Sandy forecasted to impact much of the greater New York City area by early next week, the Christian humanitarian aid organization World Vision is preparing to respond along the East Coast to hundreds of children and families impacted by the storm. At the organization's New York City and Washington, DC sites, pre-positioned relief supplies, including cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items and emergency food kits, are being readied for immediate delivery. Meantime, staff at World Vision's National Disaster Headquarters near Dallas, Texas are preparing to send additional relief supplies to New York City next week to provide teams with back-up supplies and support.

Christian Broadcasting Reaching Millions

Two point seven billion people need to hear the gospel and Far East Broadcasting is working to that end.

The ministry was founded in 1945 with a mission to carry Christ to the world by radio, with a primary emphasis on nations that are traditionally not open to the gospel.

Far East Broadcasting spokesman David Creel explains the ministry is now broadcasting in about 130 languages.

A suicide bomber driving a Mercedes jeep forced his way into St Rita's Catholic Church, Anguwan Yero, in the Malali area of Kaduna City at approximately 08:35am on 28 October, detonating an explosion that killed at least four worshipers and left many more with severe injuries.

Snow College Officials Call Christian Club's Message 'Poor Taste'

Alliance Defending Freedom filed a federal lawsuit Monday against Utah’s Snow College on behalf of a Christian student group banned from including religious speech as part of a homecoming event. The college, located in the town of Ephraim, also denied the club benefits that it extended to other groups.
