
The Egyptian Armed Forces issued a statement on Thursday, showing appreciation to the people of Egypt and sending a message to the Islamic youth, confirming their patriotism and dedication.
The statement stressed that actions taken yesterday, from removing President Mohamed Morsi to suspending the constitution, came in line with national forces, as well as political and religious figures.
It also confirmed that it would not allow attacks on places of worship nor an attack on anyone belonging to the Islamic current.

The statement, issued by armed forces’ spokesperson, Col. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, stressed, “The Egyptian people’s dream of a bright future is achieved by gathering under an Egyptian state, with all children and youth, in peace and without exclusion of the other.”
The armed forces expressed its appreciation to the Egyptian people and its inspiring, promising youth, who dazzled the world with their insistence on achieving their legitimate aspirations.
“The depth of the Egyptian military establishment stems from the long history of its people,” the statement continued. “And the driving force of this youth, it is a true Egyptian dream, all for the sake of a nation where justice, freedom and social peace rule.”
A message was sent to the religious current’s youth, as well, saying, “No Egyptian doubts your loyalty to the nation, [we] stress that the actions taken by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces came in accordance with a number of religious, national and youth figures, who were not against you, and you will not be excluded from the Egyptian entity, no matter how varied opinions and trends are. We are sure that you are keen on keeping Egypt stable.”
