According to the American Pregnancy Association, about two million women lose a pregnancy each year due to miscarriage or elective abortion. Often referred to as a "women's issue," Aborted Sun gives men an equal voice to share the pain of lost fatherhood and the myth of shared grief. As the Christian church emphasizes a family-centric culture, many childless members feel marginalized without public rituals to validate their pregnancy losses. This groundbreaking documentary follows a couple's struggle after their third miscarriage (spontaneous abortion). Their journey to healing connects with both types of pregnancy loss featured in other interviews. Aborted Sun offers hope to post-abortive men and women while illustrating practical ways that friends, family and the Church can minister to those whose dreams have been shattered by infant loss.

"My own birth story compelled me to take on this challenging topic," said Chris Lang, producer/ director of Aborted Sun. "My mother had an IUD in place before conceiving twins. She later miscarried my twin and continued to have bleeding and discomfort. And because there was no ultrasound in those days, her doctor didn't know she was still pregnant. Her subsequent medical treatments should have aborted me," added Lang.

Troy Miller, president and CEO of the NRB Network, stated, "Whether the pain stems from a recent loss or unresolved grief from the past, I believe Aborted Sun will meet viewers right where they are...This is an important film."

"Aborted Sun is a balm of healing, compassion, and understanding," said Kandus Thorp, vice president of Hope Channel.

Sydna Masse, president and founder of Ramah International, called Aborted Sun "a 'must-see' film for couples and a perfect educational resource for churches, counseling agencies and pregnancy centers."
