Genesis 2:10 - Revelation 22:1
The river flowed out of the Garden of Eden, “And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.” [Genesis 2:10]. But in the kingdom a river of living water flows from our Lord, “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” [Revelation 22:1].
We sometimes wonder at the gifts God has given in the world around us. It can make our hearts soar when we see a clear blue sky, the wonder of a tree, or the taste of fresh clear water. But in God’s kingdom, these things will pale compared to the eternal wonders God will bestow upon us. Have you ever stopped and marveled at God’s creations? What are some of the little everyday things that stand out to you today?
Genesis 3:24 - Revelation 21:25-26
In Genesis the entrance to the garden and God’s direct presence is shut, “So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” [Genesis 3:24]. But, in the kingdom the way shall be opened, “And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.” [Revelation 21:25-26].
Many secrets and mysteries have been hidden from us. When God comes into our presence and Christ reigns on earth this will no longer be the case. God will open the gates of knowledge to us and show us all things. Until then, we must grow spiritually. As we grow in spiritual maturity, we get closer to God and more about His will is made clear through revelation. What are the areas of your life you would like more revelation in?
Genesis 2:17 - Revelation 22:2
In Genesis, sin and death came from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” [Genesis 2:17]. But in the kingdom, it is the health of the nations that shall come from the tree, “In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” [Revelation 22:2].
We must always rely upon God in our day to day lives. Can you think of something in your life today that you could turn over to Jesus Christ that you have been holding back?
