EFC STAFF ATTENDING MISSIO NEXUS CONFERENCE
EFC President Bruce J. Clemenger and the EFC’s Global Mission Roundtable Executive Director Matthew Gibbins will be participating in the North American Mission Leaders Conference of Missio Nexus held in Dallas this week. Missio Nexus was birthed out of the merger of CrossGlobal Link, formerly the IFMA, and The Mission Exchange, formerly the EFMA, forming a body representative of 35,000 evangelical missionaries deployed in every country by more than 200 agencies and churches. A number of Canadian agencies belong to Missio Nexus.
QUEBEC CHARTER AND RELIGIOUS EXPRESSION
The Premier and other representatives of the Government of Quebec have asserted that prohibiting civil servants in Quebec from wearing religious symbols or attire is neutral. EFC President Bruce J. Clemenger responds to this issue in a thoughtful statement on neutrality and equality.
THE EFC IN THE MEDIA
The EFC has recently been interviewed by many media workers. Here is a sample: EFC Vice-President Don Hutchinson was on talk radio in B.C. (the Simi Sara Show) and in the USA (American Family News Network) and interviewed by Christian Week and Carleton journalism student Sam Corey. EFC Director of Research Rick Hiemstra was on talk radio in Atlantic Canada (the Todd Veinotte Show) and interviewed by the Jewish Tribune. We’ve also been mentioned in an Indo-Canadian newspaper (The Link) and a lesbian news blog (Lez Get Real).
