Why do some people behave in such bad ways?

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. (Ephesians 5:1-7)

A sweet smelling offering and a sacrifice to God. In the time before Jesus lived on earth, God told the people of Israel that he wanted them to offer sacrifices. Some of first believed in Jesus Christ. If any members of your Group want to know more about Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, pray for them. Ask God to make himself known to them in a real way. You can all ask God to fill you again with his Holy Spirit.

Always be ready to do anything that the Holy Spirit tells you to do (Matthew 4:1-2; Acts 13:2; 16:4; 20:22-24).
