This has been the scene on West Street in Annapolis. On September 26, many faithful people from across Anne Arundel County committed to pray for women considering an abortion at the Planned Parenthood, for the preborn babies, and even for the workers that perform the abortions.
"Many people cannot understand why it is so important to pray at the site where abortions take place, but it is the only way to reach those who are in desperation," says Michael Martelli, Executive Director of the Maryland Coalition for Life. "Being there allows men and women who are seeking an abortion to see others praying for them, and it reminds them that God cares about them and their baby. Being there when they make their final decision about life or death allows them an opportunity to change their mind, and accept the loving help and support that the Pro-Life community offers them."
Participants in the Stand for Life event will be given a number to represent one life lost to abortion that day. The Memorial Life Chain, which is the first part of the Event, will begin at 2PM on Rowe Blvd (at the corner of Bladen and Calvert Streets), across from the Firemen's Memorial.
