Homeless Man on Book Cover Leads to Reuniting of Family

It is a story made for Christmas, family, reunions, and miracles. It started with a homeless man, a family that missed him, and a book cover.

Bestselling author, Kathi Macias finished her manuscript for Unexpected Christmas Hero (New Hope Publishers) and handed it over to her editor. Meanwhile, photographer and designer Michael Lê was assigned the task of finding a homeless man who fit the physical representation of Macias' character. Lê and wife Christine were in Ashville, North Carolina last Christmas when they stopped their car and asked a homeless man by the name of Willard Parker if he would be willing to pose for some pictures.

Good Grief! Atheist Group Disgruntled With 'A Charlie Brown Christmas'

An Arkansas school district is battling a group of atheists trying to block the opportunity for children to see a play based on a Christmastime classic.

Alliance Defending Freedom sent a letter Monday to Little Rock School District and one of its schools to encourage them to ignore an atheist group’s complaints about allowing students to view a play based on the classic Charles Schulz television special A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Zig Ziglar, Renowned Layman & Speaker, Dies

Zig Ziglar, known worldwide for his folksy and often anecdotal motivational talks on success through serving others, died Wednesday (Nov. 28) at a Plano, Texas, hospital of complications from pneumonia. He was 86.

Ziglar's deep, soothing Mississippi drawl and speeches and books often sprinkled with mentions of his Christian faith endeared him to millions. Ziglar was arguably the best-known motivational speaker of his day, having conducted hundreds of corporate seminars and given motivational speeches to hundreds of thousands of people over a 42-year speaking career.

Pastor Nadarkhani Thanks Supporters at CSW Annual Conference

Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani was a special guest speaker at For Such a Time as This, CSW’s National Conference in London on 10 November, where he thanked those who had prayed and petitioned on his behalf during his incarceration in Iran for almost three years.

“It is the opportunity for me to share about what the Lord did for me and to thank you because you supported me by your prayers, you supported my family in a very difficult time,” he said.

Actor: CBS Comedy 'Two and a Half Men' is 'Filth'

The teenage actor who plays the half in the CBS comedy Two and a Half Men says in a video posted by a Christian church that the show is "filth" that people shouldn't watch.

Nineteen-year-old Angus T. Jones has been on the show since he was 10 but says he can no longer be on a show that goes against what the Bible teaches. He urges viewers to "please stop watching it; please stop filling your head with filth."
