Paul Boge's new book, Hope for the Hopeless, tells some of the stories that have emerged out of Mully Children's Family, a street mission in Kenya.

The inspirational story of a Kenyan businessman who gave away his riches and dedicated his life to helping street children, continues in the newest book from Winnipeg author Paul Boge. Boge first told the story of Charles Mulli in his 2005 biography, Father to the Fatherless. In his latest book, Hope for the Hopeless: The Charles Mulli Mission, Boge explores the lives of some of the people Mulli has helped save through the work of the Mully Children's Family (MCF).

"If you can imagine the worst, [the children have] experienced worse than that," says Boge, who began working on the book three years ago.
One story focuses on Charity, whose mother tried to kill her twice because she did not know how to raise a child. Neighbours found Charity and brought her to MCF, where she received an education and became a Christian. Today, she is doing well.
"That's the perfect example of someone who was literally at the bottom of the world and has changed now to lead a fulfilling life in what Christ has done for her," Boge says.
Boge hopes the book helps spread the word about the good work MCF is doing.
"I love the ministry right to my very core," says Boge, who first traveled to Kenya in 2003 to volunteer with MCF. "I love the organization and I love the kids."
