Putin to Visit Israel
Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Israel for the first time since 2005. He is scheduled to meet with Benjamin Netanyahu, Shimon Peres and other senior officials, as well as Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and King Abdullah in Jordan. Putin has been condemned by the international community for his continued support of Syrian President Assad, and is charged with delivering attack helicopters to Syria. One of the main topics of conversation will focus on Iran's suspected nuclear program. (Jewish Forward)

Captured Soldier Shalit to be a Sports Writer
Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot has hired Gilad Shalit, the kidnapped Israeli soldier who spent five years in Hamas captivity, to start writing a sports column. He will be flying to Miami for the final game of the NBA championships as well as the final Euro Cup soccer game. (Jerusalem Post)

Holocaust Survivors to Vacation with the Bible
Once again, one of our Israeli workers will soon be traveling to Poland with a group of 28 Holocaust survivors from Israel. This is the third "Vacation with the Bible" tour, in which the elderly participants not only vacation in a beautiful place but also learn the Scriptures and meet local believers.
None of these Holocaust survivors know Yeshua (Jesus), so please pray that the God of Israel would open their eyes during this trip and lead them to receive Messiah.

Ultra-Orthodox to Serve in Israeli Military
For years, members of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community have been exempt from being drafted into the Israel Defense Forces, as they focus on Torah study. Now, the military is drawing up plans for a mass recruitment of ultra-Orthodox, creating special battalions that will ultimately be integrated into normal combat forces. (Haaretz)
