He speaks in tones of love but yet
His voice is heard upon our hearts
Our wills made soft so that we let
His will take hold, our lives He charts

How often times we love Him best
Because He cares the path we take
And He takes hold upon us, lest
We are ensnared as steps we make

How often when our faith is small
And we lose sight of Christ and home
While earthly problems seem so tall
As we our earthly path do roam

He gives us insight of His love
And cheers our hearts and makes us strong
Then gives us wisdom from above
And fills our hearts with Heaven's song.
