On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity. (Zechariah 13:1)
The book of Zechariah was written to Israel to inspire them to finish the temple. This book also provides much information on the ministry of angels. See Zechariah 1-2.
God controls the affairs of men and nations. Like the book of Job, Zechariah offers a glimpse into heaven to view the confrontations between God and Satan. See Job 1-2 and Zechariah 3:1-5. Several facts about Jesus are presented in Zechariah including Jesus’ commission, his present work, his concern over Jerusalem, his title, his triumphal entry to Jerusalem, his appearance on Mt Zion and his victory at Armageddon.
