From the bosom of the Father, His beloved Son He gave
To a world of sin and sorrow, as the Son of Man to save

Oh the love that's in the Father, to redeem us unto Him
Love beyond our comprehension, may that sight be never dim

With a voice He spoke from heaven, this is my beloved Son
As He saw His own beloved, the Incarnate Holy One

What a price Christ must have paid there as He languished 'neath the load
And the Wrath of God the Father, tells us greater love God showed
